Purpose & main user community of the library  Oscott College is a seminary for the training of Catholic priests. 
Terms of access Reference only by appointment for non-registered users 
Opening hours The Librarian is available for 15 hours per week (M 10.30-17.00; Tu,Th,F 14.00-17.00). However appointments are available outside these times, especially during College holiday.
Disabled access The majority of the collection is on the ground floor but some parts are only accessible by steep stairs. There are no lifts in the building 
Lending to other libraries & visitors Not at present. The library is reference only. Researchers are welcome to visit as often as they wish.

Coverage Books and journals covering all aspects of Catholic theology, catechesis, biblical studies, religion and philosophy. Oscott was designed by Pugin and there are a number of books about his life and work. 
Special Collections The Recusant library has a collection of 8,000 books and pamphlets of Catholic interest dating from c. 1470-1840. Access by appointment only; please contact Gerard Boylan, Curator, on 0121 321 5069.
