Coverage The general Islamic collection covers all aspects of Islam, including its relationship with other religions. The Ismaili collection covers all aspects of Ismailism. 
Special Collections  
Manuscripts  The library holds a very important collection of just over 1,000 Ismaili ms. In Arabic, Persian, Gujarati and the Khojki script; there are also ca. 500 non-ismaili mss. In Arabic and Persian.
Research resource  The general Islamic collection can serve the needs of students of Islam at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, but does not match the holdings of larger academic libraries. The Ismaili collection is the library’s forte, and has one of the most important holdings in the world for Ismailism.
