Purpose & main user community of the library The Main College Library is the main library used by students and staff at Regent’s Park College. It consists of 30,000 books and journals reflecting the humanities focus of the college, including excellent Theology, English, Law, History and Philosophy collections.

The Library facilities also include a graduate study room, study carrels and large tables for individual study.

The David Nicholls Memorial Collection is based on the private collection of Britain’s foremost Haiti expert, and comprises some 4,000 volumes. The majority of the texts deal specifically with Haiti, the Dominican Republic and other Caribbean societies, in addition to David’s collection of theological, sociological and political works.

Terms of access We ask all visitors to make an appointment to come in at least 24 hours in advance. Please contact
Opening hours Whilst the Main Library is open 24/7 to students and faculty of Regent’s Park College, visitors may only have access during normal office hours 9:00-16:00 Monday-Friday.

We are normally closed to visitors during the lunch hour 12:30-13:30.

The David Nicholls Collection is a confined collection and items will need to be retrieved in advance of your visit and may only be consulted in the main library.

Disabled access The Main Library is situated on the second floor and visitors will need to use a flight of stairs to reach us.

Arrangements can be made to consult materials in a more accessible location. Please ask before arranging your visit.

Lending to other libraries & visitors Visitors are unable to borrow from any of the Regent’s Park library collections.
